Chicago Assault General Manager

The Chicago Assault, proud members of Ladies American Football (LAF), are pleased to announce that Michael Herrick will serve as the team's General Manager for the inaugural 2022 season.

For the last 15 years, Herrick has served as the head coach and public relations head for the Lansing Lions, a championship youth football program in the Chicago suburb of Lansing.  Now in charge of the Windy City's women's football revival, Herrick is ready to put his expertise to good use.
"I look forward to seeing all the talent Chicago has to offer," Herrick stated.  "Chicago has one of the richest city cultures in America, with so many football leagues past and present having a presence in the city, and I look forward to beginning building up the Assault's legacy for the coming season."
The Assault plan to announce their head coach and initial tryout dates in the coming weeks.  For more information, contact Assault GM Michael Herrick by phone at (708)-446-7725 or by e-mail at the4mmmms@yahoo.com.  Or contact the LAF by phone at (712)-592-0676 or by e-mail at admin@idflnation.com.

Rockford Reapers General Manager

The Rockford Reapers, proud members of Ladies American Football (LAF), are pleased to announce that Damonte Reed will serve as the team's General Manager for the inaugural 2022 season.

A Rockford native and lifelong resident, Reed went to Guilford High School, where he was a standout defensive back and running back for the Vikings football team, being named to the All-Conference Team three times as well as making it to the State Championships for track and field.  After graduating in 2016, Reed played college football for the Sterling College Warriors in the NAIA, winning the 2017 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship.
In addition to his own athletic expertise, Reed also currently works with the Rockford Park District, serving as an Outreach Athletic Coordinator, helping to supervise and manage the district's flag football and basketball leagues as well as teach the fundamentals of sport throughout the community.
"What drew me to the Reapers has been the same thing that's been driving me since high school; the opportunity to give back to my community," Reed stated in an interview.  "Different people have different gifts, and mine just so happens to be sports.  Coming from an athletic family, I am honored to be using my gift to serve the Rockford community once again, and will make sure the Reapers become an integral part of the city's rich sports culture."
The Reapers plan to announce their logo, head coach and initial tryout dates in the coming weeks.  For more information, contact Reapers GM Damonte Reed by phone at (815)-494-3939 or by e-mail at reeddamonte16@gmail.com.  Or contact the LAF by phone at (712)-592-0676 or by e-mail at admin@idflnation.com.

Green Bay Frostbite General Manager

The Green Bay Frostbite, proud members of Ladies American Football (LAF), are pleased to announce that David Goheen will serve as the team's General Manager for the inaugural 2022 season.

Goheen is a veteran coach, serving as a head coach and assistant coach on the scholastic, semi-pro and professional levels, helping to build several start-up teams and transform a few from cellar-dwellers to perennial championship contenders; most recently, Goheen will serve as the Special Teams Coach for the semi-pro Brown County Blackjacks in the coming 2021 season.  In addition to his coaching expertise, Goheen is a veteran of the US Air Force, having served in security and supervisory positions, and has an extensive history in leadership roles with young children (particularly as a behavioral technician working with children with autism).  Now Goheen is ready to take on the challenge of building up Green Bay's first women's tackle full-uniform football team and making them perennial contenders.
"I look forward to building the Frostbite into a winning organization," Goheen said.  "It's time to prove once more why Green Bay is Titletown, USA!"
The Frostbite plan to announce their logo, head coach and initial tryout dates in the coming weeks.  For more information, contact Frostbite GM David Goheen by phone at (920)-445-9724 or by e-mail at goheenda65@gmail.com.  Or contact the LAF by phone at (712)-592-0676 or by e-mail at admin@idflnation.com.

Fort Wayne Hellcats General Manager

The Fort Wayne Hellcats, proud members of Ladies American Football (LAF), are pleased to announce that Andrew Mahan will serve as the team's General Manager for the inaugural 2022 season.
After eight years of playing the sport, Mahan has coached youth football for three years, both as head coach for the Elida Thunder and the defensive coordinator for the Uniopolis Browns. Now, Mahan is ready to oversee the revival of women's football in Fort Wayne and set a flightplan to the championship for the Hellcats.
“What drew me to the Hellcats and the LAF is the passion for football I have," Mahan remarked. "Football has been in my life and blood since I was 4 and beyond excited to becoming the GM and making the team better!”
The Hellcats plan to announce their logo, head coach, and initial tryout dates in the coming weeks. For more information, contact Hellcats GM Andrew Mahan by phone at (419)-233-7134 or by e-mail at clevelandhopeful1964@yahoo.com. Or contact the LAF by phone at (712)-592-0676 or by e-mail at admin@idflnation.com.

Madison Mojo General Manager/Head Coach

The Madison Mojo, proud members of Ladies American Football (LAF), are pleased to announce that Ellie Maier will serve as the team's Head Coach for the inaugural 2022 season.

A veteran of Madison's previous three women's tackle football teams (the Wisconsin Wolves, Madion Cougars and Madison Blaze), Maier was a utility player, playing wherever she was needed (largely on the linewoman, linebacker and tight end positions).  That experience helped her learn the dynamics of what made a good, strong football team, dynamics she plans to bring at the Mojo's helm.
"I am absolutely excited to help bring women's football back to Madison," Maier said.  "Knowing the struggles many previous teams had to go through, the LAF model, with 8-on-8 play and closely-knit travel will be easier and more appealing on the players, coaches, staff and fans.  I welcome the challenge this new league brings, and I expect the Mojo will bring a lot of players on board, ready to bring a championship to Wisconsin's capital."
The Mojo plan to announce their logo and initial tryout dates in the coming weeks.  For more information, contact Mojo Head Coach Ellie Maier by phone at (608)-576-4032 or by e-mail at maierbiz@gmail.com, or contact Mojo GM Rusevelt Johnson by phone at (682)-263-2462 or by e-mail at rusevelt.johnson@yahoo.com.  Or contact the LAF by phone at (712)-592-0676 or by e-mail at admin@idflnation.com.

South Bend Speed General Manager

The South Bend Speed, proud members of Ladies American Football (LAF), are pleased to announce that Alex Cox will serve as the team's General Manager for the inaugural 2022 season.

Having played football in middle and high school, Cox soon developed a love for coaching, winning various championships on the high school level and the 2019 Battle Ground Football League (BGFL) championship as offensive coordinator for the Michiana Thunderhawks.  Already the owner of the BGFL's Elkhart Panthers (set to begin play in 2021), Cox jumped at the opportunity to head women's football's long-awaited return to South Bend.
"What drew me to the LAF is the opportunity to start and maintain a team here where I live," Cox stated.  "I live and breathe football.  My wife and kids know this and they want to be a part of it as well."
The Speed plan to announce their logo, head coach, and initial tryout dates in the coming weeks.  For more information, contact Speed GM Alex Cox by phone at (574)-218-2791 or by e-mail at ajcox999@aol.com.  Or contact the LAF by phone at (712)-592-0676 or by e-mail at admin@idflnation.com.

The Wausau Express, proud members of Ladies American Football (LAF), are pleased to announce that Rusevelt Johnson will serve as the team's General Manager for the inaugural 2022 season.

An experienced semi-pro football veteran (Northeast Arkansas Jaguars, Denton County Rhinos, Dallas Trojans), Johnson's job brought him to Wisconsin, where he started a job as a high school football coach.  Having played his farewell season for the Marshfield Bandits this past year (the first team in Wisconsin to restart since the pandemic), Johnson has since accepted a position as the Bandits' head coach and defensive coordinator.  With this experience under his belt, Johnson is up to the challenge of helping guide women's football's return to Wisconsin's capital.
"One of my favorite movies is Friday Night Lights, and just thinking about this team's name puts me back in the mindframe of that movie," Johnson reminisced. I know there is hidden talent in this area with women."  Seeing special things in the LAF's future, Johnson is ready to take the Express to the heights of the league.
"The one thing I'm most ready for with this team is finding the best women that can play, but were picked last because they didn't think you could hit or you couldn't run fast.  I'm ready to show the entire Midwest that women can hit hard just like the men, and my job will be to help my coaches find these players."
The Express plan to announce their logo and initial tryout dates in the coming weeks.  For more information, contact Express GM Rusevelt Johnson by phone at (682)-263-2462 or by e-mail at rusevelt.johnson@yahoo.com.  Or contact the LAF by phone at (712)-592-0676 or by e-mail at admin@idflnation.com.
